Finding the perfect espresso cafe or drive through location

We have all heard LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION is the most important factor when opening any business. I am here to tell you that this is 100% true. You should always look at many factors in the area that could have a positive or negative affect on your potential espresso cafe and or espresso drive through location.  There are a few things to keep in mind when looking at a good espresso cafe sit down location the amount of foot traffic that is already near your new potential location.  Also what kind of competition that is within the same distance as you could be.  Remember that just because you have a competitor near you does not rule out success there have been many good locations with enough customers to support them both.

If your setting up an espresso drive through then its all about how much auto traffic is driving by you at potential peak times. One thing that stands true is traffic of people matter the most!

Another very important factor when looking for a good espresso location is how easy is it for your potential customer to access you. This rings true no matter what business you are looking to get into but it even matters more with the espresso experience. Lets face it as humans we are creatures of convenience and habit.  If you can make espresso cafe or espresso drive through easy to get to and fast to get out you should do well.

A super important location breaker is what side of the road are you on when people are going to work? This is a very simple mistake I have seen espresso cafes and espresso drivethroughs make. Just because these locations are available does not make them correct. Weve all seen gas stations for example at a 4 way stop that have 2 locations opposite from each other with the same cost of fuel and only one is always busy and the other is just marginal. The reason is that the flow of traffic and ease of access will make or break a location.

You can obtain traffic counts from the city to find out daily car counts.  Another good idea is to just sit in you car and witness the foot traffic or car counts for yourself during busy times. You should make an assessment of the kind of person that would buy your products and what they might want. Each area of the country, city or town has different kinds of people. You should try to get an idea what the over generalized kind of espresso customer is and you should taylor your theme, look and feel of your business to appeal to that customer.  REMEMBER  you are not building a business for yourself you are building it for your customer.

When you start looking for the perfect location start by visualizing in your head the perfect location then don't settle for anything less than ideal in every way . Remember be positive ,open minded and ask allot of questions.
